Maxwell Edmonds received his BFA from The University of Tennessee Knoxville. While he is trained as a painter, his work spans media by mixing paintings with video production, fiber arts, sewing, and photography. He often explores themes of identity with his recent work centering the experiences of transgender men in modern America. He is deeply interested in exploring horror and finding beauty in strangeness.
